An Artist Residency in Motherhood

Bernardete Blue has taken a self-imposed month long residency in 2016, following the artist Lenka Clayton’s initiative ARIM- An Artist Residency in Motherhood.
With a  24-7 schedule, the artists’ home and daily parenting activities, the artist and her 7-year-old son worked as partners in this project creating works which attempt to challenge perceptions and stereotypes of what being a capable mother and a dedicated artist actually means.
